Autumn Update
|
Autumn is one of our favourite seasons. We're starting to see a few golden tints on the trees at Wisley and huge pumpkins growing in the World Food Garden. We hope you like our new seasonal newsletter which has some news from our team and the wider RHS which your Affiliated Society may find of interest - please do share with your members. This includes details of our new closed Facebook group where you can keep in touch with other
Affiliated Societies around the UK.
Best wishes The RHS Affiliated Societies Team |

Spotlight On ... Facebook |
We've launched a new closed Facebook group to share news, ideas and initiatives and even plant swaps between all our Affiliated Societies.
It's not obligatory to join but, in our recent summer survey, many of you highlighted how you would like more opportunities to interact with other groups. Feel free to ask questions or share what's worked well for your Society over recent months.
You can join via your Society's Facebook page or personally using the link below.

Congratulations to three Affiliated Societies - Arundel Gardening Association, Gosport Allotment Association and Sandridge Road Allotment Association - who have been awarded one of 29 new RHS Connected Communities Network Development Grant to develop their gardening and growing networks.
The projects include making Arundel 'greener and cleaner'; developing a local food-circle and promoting more sustainable practices in Gosport; and making St Albans a better place for people and wildlife by adopting more wildlife-friendly initiatives, working alongside other community groups in Sandridge. |

Encourage your Affiliated Society to get involved in the RHS Big Food Share which is coming up (Mon 25 September - 1 October 2023). This new initiative is encouraging community groups and schools to share and celebrate their harvests. You could organise a community cooking event or donate a glut of produce to a local charity or food bank. Find out more via the link below. |
